🍣 Shiso Leaf & Tuna Tataki Roll 🍣

A light, elegant, and flavor-packed dish that showcases Shiso as the hero.

Ingredients:

  • 6–8 Celery Farm Shiso leaves
  • 200g sashimi-grade tuna
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ avocado, sliced
  • ½ cucumber, julienned
  • Cooked sushi rice (about 1 cup)
  • 1 sheet nori (optional, for support)
  • Sesame seeds and microgreens for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Lightly sear the tuna on all sides, then thinly slice.
  2. Mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to create a dipping or drizzle sauce.
  3. Lay Shiso leaves flat on a bamboo sushi mat or clean surface.
  4. Add a small layer of sushi rice, a slice of tuna, avocado, and cucumber.
  5. Carefully roll each into a tight wrap using the Shiso leaves as the outer layer.
  6. Slice in halves, drizzle with sauce, and garnish with sesame seeds and microgreens.
